Hi, my name is Rich Hartigan! After years of experience as a recruiter and business operations executive swimming in the wake of other great entrepreneurs, I started Riverbend with a passion for creating opportunities that help others succeed. I have been mapping and helping people reach their goals in business for the past 20 years. I spent my first ten years as a sales recruiter matching creative people with the industries they’re passionate about. I then spent the next ten years working my way up in business operations creating systems & processes that allowed businesses to scale to heights not previously achieved. Even as my title, compensation, and complexities of my solutions grew, it never felt like something truly mine.
One of the best compliments I received while consulting and growing businesses was from a business owner who said, "You love this stuff, don't you?" At that point, I realized that I'm passionate about helping create other people's success, like that feeling of practicing every afternoon and watching your kid win a race. As a former Business Operations Executive, I understand firsthand the importance of identifying and fixing present-day opportunities within your business so you can start working on creating future opportunities for your business.
Creating strategy sessions, developing repeatable and predictable processes, or eliminating barriers for key team members to be the best at what they do sparked the idea for Riverbend Consulting Group LLC. As a business and management consultant I recognized that I could provide better client connectivity and a better impact on their business by creating my own company.
Many businesses I consult start with an owner's passion or idea with limited knowledge of running a successful business. They grew that idea into a company that generates a couple of million annually. Then, they became stuck because there had been no focus on systems, processes, or people development, allowing for growth beyond what they already knew and were comfortable with. I understand these breakpoints and develop solutions to help businesses make educated decisions that will enable them to reach the next level.
I have worked to scale dozens of businesses, but I enjoy small business consulting for two reasons. I love removing barriers to help develop existing employees into the company's next leaders. The second is that making strategic and process changes in businesses of this size can impact the company's trajectory and speed of scaling for the next 1,3,5-years helping them achieve things never thought possible.
